Redang Island, which belongs to a small Malaysian archipelago of nine islands within Terengganu state, lies within protected marine waters known as Terengganu Marine Park.

Weather tends to be sunny and hot throughout the year although March to October is considered the best time to visit. Between November and February the north east monsoon kicks in and heavy rain does occur.
There are no direct flights from the UK to Redang. Fly via KL to Terengganu, then transfer by road for 30 minutes to Merang jetty followed by 50 minute journey by boat.
