Jebel Ali, also known as Mina Jebel Ali, used to be a separate village, but today is an outlying district in the southwest of Dubai. The area is home to several popular resorts and hotels known for their relaxing atmosphere and enormous array of leisure facilities, including lots of watersport options.
Jebel Ali has a thriving expatriate community and is also home to the world's largest man-made harbour and the biggest port in the Middle East. Dubai enjoys virtually guaranteed year-round sunshine. Between December to February temperatures average in the mid-20sºC, rising up into the 30s from March to April and again from October to November. While the scorching temperatures between May-September may be too much for some (usually in excess of 40ºC), it’s one of the few destinations when it’s cheaper to visit during our school summer holidays, whether travelling with children or not.
The transfer time from Dubai airport to Jebel Ali is approximately 45 minutes.
