Immediately north of the popular resort of Kuta is the bustling town of Seminyak, regarding as an up and coming destination in Bali. Boasting some of the most glorious wide, sandy beaches in Bali, Seminyak is also known for its legendary sunsets and relaxed ambience.
The beach is wide and attractive and relatively uncrowded, making it the perfect spot for sunbathing or enjoying watersports, particularly the surfing. Some of the longest established surf schools in Bali are based in Seminyak, offering tuition for all levels, including children. You can also explore some of the more tranquil stretches of beach on horseback, while just to the north of the resort is one of Bali’s most historic coastal temples at Petitenget.
