One of the hottest and driest regions boasts miles of deserted sandy beaches and an abundance of wildlife, whilst just out back is the awesome, timeless outback where the bright red earth dotted with vivid wild flowers shimmers under huge blue skies. Home to long summers, stunning beaches, award- winning wine and numerous events and festivals, South Australia is packed with variety and surprisingly one of the country's most unspoiled and tourist-light areas.
At the heart of South Australia is arty Adelaide, the magnificent state capital. Oozing grace and charm, Adelaide’s majestic boulevards and cobbled laneways are encircled by parkland and feature a treasure...
South Australia has a Mediterranean climate with long summers (December to February) and mild winters. Summer temperatures often soar above 35ºC (however in the outback, it can reach 50ºC!), while winter temperatures hover around 16ºC.
Adelaide is approximately 21 hours from the UK (including a stopover).
