The cooler, drier months from May to September, are the best time to visit, with pleasantly warm weather, reduced humidity and temperatures around 26ºC. The wet season, from December to April, brings heavy frequent downpours and temperatures between 27-33ºC and high humidity.
Daintree National Park is a two hour drive north of Cairns, while Cape Tribulation is accessible via car ferry across the Daintree River.
